Fort Mill, SC ~ Last weekend was our annual, and ever popular, 2015 Winter
Wonderland Craft Fair. If you haven’t been to the Greenway lately, they are really stepping up their game. With the new amphitheater, all their new signage and kiosk booths at the entrances, our hidden jewel of a nature paradise is hidden no more. But that’s for another post.
We had a great spot, a great show and the weather could not have been more perfect! Sunshine and low 70’s, I didn’t have to worry about my balms and salves melting so that is always a plus. I got to debut my new produce cart/stand display thing and it held all my balms and salves perfectly! Found it at Hobby Lobby on the advice of some other soapers and it is perfect for what I need. It was also my first time in a Hobby Lobby – wow. I had no idea. I just thought it was a glorified dollar store full of ticky tacky stuff…a pale imitation of a Michaels. Uh, Noooo. Well, there is some tacky, but there was plenty of cool. Trying to never go in again. I am moving to minimalist and more simplistic life style – I can see buying all kinds of shit I don’t need in there.
The show had over 150 vendors and there were some really awesome products there. I really tried to get to the “Two Winey Ladies” booth as I was sure they would probably become my best friends, but it was just to busy for me to do much strolling around. I also wish I would have brought Brooklyn with us. There must have been a sign I missed that said, “Bring Your Dog”. Because everybody did. Next year, she will be there!
One more show this weekend, and then that is it for the year. About to go into production for Spring Soaps. Stay tuned. 🙂
